[homemade] 48 Hr. Aged Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

I gave Claire Saffitz’s Dessert Person recipe a try and it did not disappoint.

I know brown butter can be viewed as a bit overplayed, but it really does add a nice nuttiness and complexity to the cookie.

I added a little flaky sea salt to finish after baking, and it cuts the sweetness nicely.

Just as the title says, gooey butter cake. Its a Midwest thing I think. Invented in St Louis when a baker reversed the butter and flour portions to his cake. Served with salted carmel sauce, fresh berries and cream.
