I gave Claire Saffitz’s Dessert Person recipe a try and it did not disappoint. I know brown butter can be viewed as a bit overplayed, but it really does add a nice nuttiness and complexity to the cookie. I added a little flaky sea salt to finish after baking, and it cuts the sweetness nicely. [link] [comments] |

My wife and I found a box of old recipes in an old farm house we moved into. Some of them were insane, so we decided to cook one or two recipes per week until we get through the entire box.
